AMMA’s Birthday was celebrated by hundreds of Amma’s Children in and around Pune, at the Nigdi Ashram.

The day began with Maha Mrityunjay Havan at 6 am. Devotees then got a chance to see Amma’s Pada Puja LIVE on Amrita TV. This was followed by Paduka puja by devotees.

A large number of devotees took part in the Pada Puja, which was followed by cultural programmes: A play on “Bhakta Meera” and dance by Amrita Vidyalayam students and a play on “Bag of Worries” by Amma’s devotee kids.

20 beneficiaries were added under the Amrita Santhwanam project. They were given the first grain kits on Birthday. There are 40 persons who are benefited by this scheme at present. Also, blankets were distributed to 100 poor, old and needy people.
