The little hamlet town of Kankavli, situated on the banks of two rivers, the Gad and the Janavli, houses the Samadhi of Bhalchandra Maharaj, who is said to have lived here for about 55 years. The Sarvaishwarya Puja held on November 3, 2011, at the Bhalchandra Hall, Kankavli, saw enthusiastic participation by the local residents, predominantly a class of grain merchants and retailers. The serene atmosphere of the temple precincts reached a crescendo as the Puja progressed. The simple village folk of the place left with contented hearts.
