The group of 70-odd volunteers who participated in the seva included members of the AYUDH and devotees from across Mumbai.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_837\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-837\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amma.org.in\/mumbai\/831\/img_3685\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-837\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-837\" alt=\"Womenfolk of Ransai working at the sewing machines\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amma.org.in\/mumbai\/files\/2014\/01\/IMG_3685.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-837\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Womenfolk of Ransai working at the sewing machines<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As part of the empowerment program, sewing machines had been provided by the Ashram to the village women. Many of them have been enthusiastically undergoing training in tailoring over the past one month. Many more showed keenness to learn the art of stitching as a means of livelihood.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_838\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-838\" style=\"width: 400px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amma.org.in\/mumbai\/831\/img_3770\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-838\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-838\" alt=\"Distribution of sarees to the womenfolk\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amma.org.in\/mumbai\/files\/2014\/01\/IMG_3770.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-838\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Distribution of sarees to the womenfolk<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The afternoon program commenced with a short bhajan session, followed by distribution of sarees to all the womenfolk, and rice to 150 households of the village.
