Even as many devotees rushed to Amritapuri to be near the physical\u00a0 presence of Amma, many of Her\u00a0 devotees from across Pune gathered in the Nigdi Ashram to celebrate the festival of Guru Poornima.<\/p>\n

The day started with Havan and Guru Pada Puja. Events during the day were Anubavamritam where some devotees shared their experiences about Amma, cultural programmes by students of Amrita Vidyalayam and Tulsi plant distribution to everyone present.<\/p>\n

As part of charitable activities, 1000 fruit packets were distributed to around to poor patients at YCM Hospital and also to students of school for the differently abled in Nigdi.<\/p>\n

The day ended with Bhajans. More than 500 people participated in the celebrations, with feelings of devotion and also of gratitude for being able to be in the grace of a Satguru.<\/p>\n
