Swami Amritaswarupananda Puriji was in Pune for 2 days in the last week of December 2010 . Swamiji inaugurated the new school building of Amrita Vidyalayam at Baneshwar on 30th December 2010, at 3.30 pm. Shri Digambar Deshmukh, Director of Education, Maharashtra State was the chief guest for this function.
Amrita Vidyalayam, Baneshwar was started in 2001 and has now more than 500 students from LKG to 10th Std.
Inauguration was followed by a programme of Pravachan, Bhajan and Guided Meditation by Poojya Swamiji who also distributed Prasad to all the devotees and school parents who attended the programme.
Swamiji’s programme of Pravachan, Bhajan and Guided Meditation was also held at Nigdi Ashram on 31st December 2010, at 6.30 pm. Swamiji celebrated New Year Eve with Pune devotees by cutting a cake and distributing it to them.
The programmes were well attended with more than a thousand people at both places.
